Rachel Slater
Peak Pilates Certified Instructor

Rachel graduated in 2008 from Boston University with a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. She has worked in healthcare ever since, further pursuing a master's degree in public health from UMass Amherst in 2018. It has always been Rachel's goal to help people feel their best as she worked to rehabilitate those who suffered from medical conditions that affected their ability to speak or swallow.
Rachel was an avid soccer and lacrosse player through college and continues to pursue her athletic interests through skiing, hiking, kayaking on the Farmington River and rock climbing. Her love of pilates developed as she found how complimentary pilates was to her other activities. She noticed her core strength and flexibility improving with pilates, in turn making her stronger in other athletic pursuits with less aches and pains. She is excited to share what pilates can do for you!
Rachel lives in Avon with her husband, two dogs and two cats. She loves to garden and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Rachel is fortunate to have completed her Peak Pilates Level 1 Certification under the mentorship of master trainers Zoey Trap and Kim Johnson.
